W03 Reflection: Sourcing the Product

There are many places where you can get products to sell. That can range from you creating products out of raw materials to using a drop shipper. There are pros and cons to each of these. If creating products yourself they tend to be cheaper in upfront cost, but take time to maintain. The options that are less time demanding are using a manufacturer or a wholesaler. With a wholesaler, you are buying from a third party that has worked with a manufacturer to create a product. You can skip the middleman and work straight with a manufacturer. By doing so, you can have more freedom to design your product. The main difference between a manufacturer and a wholesale is the production and shipping time. The wholesaler typically can get the product shipped out right away as they are maintaining inventory. With a manufacturer, you will have to wait for both production and shipping times. All are great options depending on what fulfills your company's needs.
