There is a lot of research needed to understand the legal structure needed for your specific business type and in your specific location. I was interested to find out that not every state allows business tax to be included in the price of the item. I love doing it that way as it makes it easier for me and the customer when paying.
Things also change based on the business type you are doing. For example, I am doing an affiliate site which means that I am actually an independent contractor. I need to really study the tax implications of that for each business that I decided to partner with. Based on that I may need to change some things.
I am amazed each week at how much research is needed to start a business. A lot of times it is not laid out as to what you need to do.
